What is disinformation, and why does it exist?

Information is mostly explained as "referring to facts, data, or news." Well, that is explaining to which type of information they refer to. The explanantion does not tell you what information is.  Then, 'facts' are not information but a conclusive classification given when information matches an existing reality.

In plain form and when it is for reading, information consist of sets of words combined as lines then defined into paragraphs or chapters to display something that is the subject or issue.  We consider these groups of information: neutral information, misinformation, disinformation and mal information.

Disinformation and misinformation are often mixed with one other while they have different meanings. Misinformation is spreading information without knowing that the content is false, and with no intention to deceive anyone.

Disinformation is intentionally spreading of fabricated information, knowing that it is false, and with the desire or intention to deceive anyone. When this type of information becomes a weapon, it is to suppress for authority and control in opinion and view.

Mal information comes from malicious information, which is based on reality (factually accurate) but deliberately spread or leaked with the intent to cause harm.

The pages below are a collection of content describing how AI in general is used in specific topics to spread disinformation.
